Lacrimosa Lacrimosa is used as the ending theme in the anime Black Butler. Black Butler (Japanese: 黒執事 Hepburn: Kuroshitsuji) is a manga written and illustrated by Yana Toboso. Since its debut on September 16, 2006, it has been serialized in Square Enixs shōnen manga magazine Monthly GFantasy. It was announced in July 2008 that an anime adaption, directed by Toshiya Shinohara and produced by A-1 Pictures, was expected. It premiered in October 2008, and has since ended with 24 episodes. The second season aired in 2010 spanning 12 episodes with two new main characters, Alois Trancy and Claude Faustus. A live action film adaptation was released in Japan on January 18, 2014. A third anime series has been announced, which will be broadcast in July 2014. And Lacrimosa is a song by Kalafina who is a Japanese band formed by the composer Yuki Kajiura in 2007, mainly to perform theme songs for the anime Kara no Kyōkai.
